About The Engineer

Hi,

I’m Stewart Wilsdon and in 2009 I started 2U Services with the support of my wife, Bridget and originally, my lovely cocker spaniel, Millie (who very often came with me to work). Things have now progressed as you will see from the home page and below, but my history, of course, remains the same.

I have been a keen caravanner for over 35 years now and am a member of both major caravan clubs. I still get excited about every rally, weekend or holiday that we go on.
Over this time I have had to carry out repairs and improvements to my own ‘vans and now I am lucky enough to have turned my hobby into my profession. I really do relish every day.
The caravan and motorhome community is a special group of people, all different but with at least one thing in common – we love getting away in our leisure vehicles!
And what better type of person could anyone wish for as customers?

I love walking with Bridget and Lucy, and also play golf at least once a week. I enjoy cooking, wine and beer making (we are members of Cheltenham Amateur Winemakers) and I play skittles in the Cheltenham League and the Civil Service League when I can make it. I played football for over 30 years, including a brief spell at Cheltenham Town in my youth and still like to watch most types of sport.

On 7th April 2017, it was with great sadness that we had to say our final goodbye to Mille. She went very peacefully, at the vets, snuggled into our laps. Millie was nearly 14 and had been with me in the business from day one. She had been diagnosed with Lymphoma but lived her life to the full right until the end. Many of my customers missed her as much as we did (and still do) and I received many messages of sympathy, which were both very touching and indeed comforting.

Well, we couldn’t be without a dog for long, they really are part of the family so we fortunate enough to have found another beautiful cocker spaniel called Lucy (pictured with us above). Very similar to our first two in many ways but very different in others. You can never replace a loved pet, but the arrival of a new one certainly eases the pain.

And so the next chapter of my life begins and M5 Leisure is a very exciting prospect. Rest assured the only change is that I will no longer be a mobile engineer. The dedication and quality of service provided will be as good as I can possibly deliver and I know the rest of the M5 team are of the same mind, or I would not have joined them.

Please come and visit us, you are always welcome. Cheers!

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, yes, Lucy will still be coming to work with me! :o)
